Plain terms for using Coursebird.

What Coursebird is

Coursebird is a free app that collects your own class information (assignments, due dates, exams, grades and announcements) into one place, reminds you about it, and answers questions about your classes. Coursebird is an independent app. It isn't made by, affiliated with or endorsed by any school or by the makers of the course systems schools use.

Check what matters

Coursebird reads your course pages and your syllabus carefully, but professors post things in many ways and school systems change. Always check due dates, grades and requirements that matter against your school's site and your professor. Coursebird isn't responsible for missed deadlines or grades.

AI answers can be wrong

Answers from the class chat and Learn mode can be mistaken. The writing check shows how a detector might read your own writing; it isn't proof of anything, and it never writes for you. Use Coursebird in line with your school's and your professors' rules on AI.

Your account

  • Use your own school account only, and keep your password to yourself.
  • Don't use Coursebird to get at anything you couldn't see on your school's site yourself, or to slow down or harm your school's site or Coursebird.
  • You can delete your account at any time. We may close accounts that break these terms.

Changes

Coursebird is in beta and will change. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll say so in the app first. If a paid option is ever added, its price will be shown before you pay and it won't renew without asking.

No warranty

Coursebird is provided as it is, without warranties. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it.
